Mobile work is unforgiving in ways backend work hides — a bad architecture ships to the App Store and Play Store and lives on user devices for months. So we bias toward engineers who have owned an app end to end: release pipelines, store submission and review, crash triage, and the versioning problems that only show up after real users install the build.
You work directly with the engineer. Kiyansh does not insert an offshore team between you and the person writing the code, and we do not rebadge junior developers as senior. If the requirement is genuinely senior, that is who we send.
Screening is done by someone who has shipped mobile apps, not a recruiter matching keywords. For native iOS we probe memory and concurrency (ARC, retain cycles, structured concurrency and actors, GCD), the view lifecycle, and how a candidate structures a codebase with MVVM or a coordinator pattern. For Android we go into the Activity and Fragment lifecycle, coroutines and Flow, Compose state management, and dependency injection with Hilt or Dagger.
For React Native we look past 'I know React' — bridging to native modules, navigation, render performance and re-render control, and how they debug a JS thread that is blocking the UI thread. Across all three we ask about offline and sync behavior, background execution limits, push notifications (APNs, FCM), and how they handle the OS permission and privacy model.
We also confirm the boring things that sink contracts: can they cut a signed release build, manage provisioning profiles and signing keys, read a crash report from Crashlytics or Xcode Organizer, and work inside your CI (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions). We tell you what a candidate is strong at and where they are thin — plainly, so you can make the call.
For iOS: Swift and SwiftUI/UIKit, Combine or async/await, Core Data or SwiftData, Xcode and Instruments for profiling, Swift Package Manager or CocoaPods, and TestFlight for distribution. For Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow, Room, Retrofit, and the Android Studio profiler. For React Native: current RN with the new architecture where relevant, TypeScript, and native-module experience for the times JavaScript is not enough.
Certifications carry little weight in mobile — there is no meaningful equivalent to a cloud cert here. What we verify instead is shipped work: apps live in the stores, contribution to a real release cadence, and the ability to explain architectural trade-offs they made and would now make differently. A public app or a walkthrough of a private one tells us more than any credential.
When a role touches CI/CD or backend integration, we confirm it directly rather than assuming: Fastlane and store automation, REST or GraphQL clients, auth flows (OAuth, biometric), and analytics or feature-flag tooling. We match to your actual stack, not a generic 'mobile developer' label.
Contract is the fastest path when you need capacity for a defined build or a release crunch. Contract-to-hire suits teams that want to see production code before committing to a full-time headcount. Direct hire fits a permanent seat on the roadmap. We also work as a sub-vendor to MSPs and prime vendors on private-sector and government mobile engagements when you need vetted talent under an existing contract vehicle.
On timing, we are straight with you. For a clearly scoped contract mobile role, expect qualified, engineer-screened candidates within roughly one to two weeks; a narrow stack, a security clearance, or a rare skill combination (say, deep native plus React Native new-architecture experience) takes longer. We would rather send two people who fit than ten who technically match on paper.
